    GLOBAL SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES TRUST PLC (the "Company")

The Company announced on 22 September 2008 that Rory Macleod, a director of the
Company, held 35,000 of the Company's Income Shares, however, this was 
incorrectly stated. Mr Macleod's correct interest in the shares of the Company
are as stated below:
