XCounter announces distribution agreement for German dental market

XCounter AB (AIM: XCT) ("XCounter" or the "Company"), a technology leader in the development and supply of specialty X-ray detectors, announces that its subsidiary company AJAT's has signed a distribution agreement for its dental systems, AJAT ART Plus, with the German distributor Die Digitale Praxis GmbH, based in Sigmaringen, Germany.

The agreement provides XCounter with its first access to the German dental market, which comprises 60,000 dentists and which spends roughly EUR80 million per annum on dental radiology.

With immediate effect Die Digitale Praxis GmbH will make AJAT's unique technology available to the German market. XCounter anticipates that, via the agreement, Die Digital Praxis GmbH will purchase 50-60 dental imaging systems per year.

AJAT ART Plus features AJAT's unique Multi Focal Layer X-ray-imaging detectors and is based on CdTe solid state material which enables superior image quality. Research has shown that in addition to the multi plane focus; this system can improve contrast and clarity by 300% versus some other dental systems on the market.
