                              Zeehan Zinc Limited

                               Secondary placing

Zeehan Zinc Limited ("Zeehan Zinc" or the "Company") announces that it has
conditionally placed 13,175,000 new ordinary shares ("Placing Shares") in the
capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at 15 pence per share (the "Placing
Price") to raise approximately #1.98 million (#1.94 million net of expenses).
The Placing Shares have been allotted out of the Company's existing share
allotment authorities.

The net proceeds will be used primarily to accelerate the strategy as detailed
in the pre-close trading update announced on 25 July 2007 and to allow for
working capital as operations commence.

Completion of the placing is conditional on admission to trading on AIM of the
Placing Shares and application for admission has been made with admission
expected to occur on or around 14 August 2007.

Brian Caffyn, Managing Director of Zeehan Zinc, commented:

"We are delighted with this further support shown by our shareholders: The
proceeds of this placing will allow us to press forward rapidly to achieve
initial operations and revenues in the short term. This assures our ability to
complete the construction phase of our Comstock mine and gravity plant over the
next two months and supports working capital requirements as we enter into
operations."

Following the issue of the Placing Shares, the Company's issued share capital
consists of 144,976,674 Ordinary Shares of nil par value, with voting rights.
The above figure of 144,976,674 Ordinary Shares may be used by shareholders in
the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine
if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in interest in,
the share capital of the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency
Rules.
