(TSX: IE; NASDAQ: IVAN) today announced that Senior Vice President,
Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Gerald Schiefelbein, is leaving Ivanhoe Energy
to accept a leadership role with another company. Mr.
Schiefelbein's resignation is effective May
31, 2014 and he will continue in the role until that date to
assist the Company with the transition to a new CFO.
