30 Septembre 2005 - 2:00PM
PR Newswire (US)
CINCINNATI, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- LanVision Systems,
Inc. (NASDAQ:LANV) dba Streamline Health today announced that it is
in the process of assessing the potential impact of the proposed
acquisition of IDX Systems Corp. by the Healthcare Information
Technologies division of the General Electric Company, as announced
on September 29. J. Brian Patsy, Chairman and President of
LanVision commented, "It is premature to reach any conclusion on
the impact of this proposed acquisition on Streamline Health at
this time. We have had a very successful relationship with IDX and
our current IDX pipeline of potential new system sales is very
robust." Mr. Patsy observed, "GE's press release specifically
stated that 'IDX's administrative, clinical and imaging products
will complement GE's Centricity- brand applications'." Mr. Patsy
concluded, "Streamline Health's document workflow solutions
complement the IDX Electronic Medical Record and Billing products.
We believe that our solutions, when combined with the broad range
of complementary GE Healthcare Information Technologies solutions,
could rapidly accelerate the healthcare industry's transition to
Electronic Medical Records. We are optimistic that this could
create new opportunities for Streamline Health. We look forward to
continuing our relationship with IDX as it becomes part of GE."
