Orbitz Sends Proactive 'Care Alerts' to Hotel Customers, Launches Program During Boston, New York Conventions CHICAGO, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Orbitz (NASDAQ:ORBZ), the pioneer of online Customer Care, today announced that travelers who book hotels on Orbitz will receive proactive "Care Alert" messages with vital travel information about their destination city. Orbitz's Care Alerts offer details on security breaches, traffic congestion, severe weather and other potential travel delays to help travelers avoid trouble and minimize stress. To kick off the new service, Orbitz's Care Team sent Care Alerts to customers who booked hotels in Boston during the Democratic National Convention with details on transportation disruptions.
