Witness Systems (NASDAQ: WITS), a leading global provider of
workforce optimization (WFO) software and services, announced today
that its new Witness Enterprise Solutions group has been honored
with the 2006 AeA High Tech Award from the San Diego Council of
AeA, the nations largest high tech trade association. The award
honors Exametric, Inc., now part of Witness Enterprise Solutions,
as the top winner in the software category for its workforce
management software, which has been deployed in more than 12,000
banks and credit union branches worldwide. This recognition follows
last months acquisition by Witness Systems of Demos Solutions and
Exametric. The two companies both leaders in supplying enterprise
productivity and resource planning solutions to the financial
services industry came together to form Witness Enterprise
Solutions. Initially focused on enterprise WFO for the retail
financial services market including branch offices and
back-office operations that impact the customer experience the
groups software and services are intended to serve an array of
vertical markets and enterprise operations. The award acknowledges
the company for its workforce management software a strategic
forecasting, staffing and optimization solution that allows retail
and financial organizations to plan and budget resource staffing,
while guiding their organizations to higher levels of efficiencies
without compromising customer service. The solution simplifies
annual budgeting and planning processes by helping organizations
establish an optimal long-term resource plan that supports both
customer service and budget objectives. The company was recognized
for its compelling and strong business model, along with its
dynamic software offering. This honor reflects the dedication and
hard work of our engineering and product development team, said
Darryl Demos, general manager, Witness Enterprise Solutions. Their
knowledge and industry experience has given the company a
leadership position in accurate labor forecasting and a track
record of successful deployments in customers both large and
small. The 2006 High Tech Awards marks the 13th anniversary of the
AeA High Tech Awards. More than 500 AeA members and non-members
attended the luncheon on October 12, 2006 to acknowledge the
successes of local technology companies representing a diverse set
of categories, including software, semiconductors and outstanding
emerging growth. About Witness Enterprise Solutions Witness
