Cingular Wireless Continues to Grow Its Network in Central and North Florida ORLANDO, Fla., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Cingular Wireless recently turned up five new cell sites in central and north Florida. Year-to-date, the nation's largest wireless carrier has turned on 15 sites in its North Florida market, which covers southwest Florida across the state north to Panama City. Another 20 sites will be activated in the market before year's end. The five cell sites turned on in May are improving coverage in Bay, Osceola, Baker, and Duval counties. Specifically: - A new site in Intercession City is improving coverage in Osceola County between Poinciana and Kissimmee along U.S. 17. - A new site is improving coverage along U.S. 90, I-10 and U.S. 301 just west of Jacksonville in Duval and Baker counties. - Two new sites are improving coverage along Route 388 just north of Panama City. - A new site near Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City is improving coverage along Route 98.
