BellSouth Provides Free Dial Internet Usage for BellSouth(R) FastAccess(R) DSL Customers Affected by Recent Hurricanes -- Customers Who Experienced Dial or DSL Outages Can Also Receive Bill Credits -- ATLANTA, Nov. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BellSouth (NYSE:BLS) has suspended charges associated with back-up dial Internet usage during October, November and December to provide customers with an alternative Internet access method as they continue recovering from recent hurricanes. BellSouth FastAccess DSL accounts include a back-up BellSouth(R) Dial Internet Service account, which is normally used for customers who are away from their home or business, or in the event of a temporary service interruption. In addition, customers who were affected by these storms can contact BellSouth for an account adjustment for service interruptions to BellSouth FastAccess DSL or BellSouth Dial Internet Service. Customers will receive bill credits for Internet service based on the length of time their service was unavailable. BellSouth customers are asked to call 1-888-321-2375. Credits will generally appear on the next bill.
