Cingular Wireless Names Terry Stenzel Vice President and General Manager of Arkansas and Oklahoma Stenzel one of 27 VP/GMs named as part of new leadership team after merger with AT&T Wireless LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Cingular Wireless has named Terry Stenzel vice president and general manager of the company's South Central market, which includes Arkansas and Oklahoma. The South Central market is part of the company's new Central Region. The newly combined company is now the country's biggest wireless provider with more than 46 million customers and has the largest digital voice and data network in the nation. Stenzel, who held the same title before the merger, will be based in Little Rock, AR. In his role as vice president and general manager, Stenzel will continue to be responsible for Cingular's operations in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Stenzel will oversee overall business and financial matters for the designated markets in his region, which now include both the AT&T Wireless and Cingular operations. He began his career as Vice President of Sales for Pacific Bell Information Service and Project Manager for Pacific Bell. He later joined Pacific Bell Wireless in 1996 as Vice President of Sales. Over the years, Stenzel has also served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing - New York for Cellular One, and as Vice President and General Manager of Cingular - Upstate New York, responsible for all aspects of the company's sales, marketing and distribution operations in the region. Stenzel has also served Cingular as Regional Vice President - Illinois and Wisconsin, responsible for leading the Business-to-Business channel before being named to head the South Central market in 2003.
