Cingular Completes Massive Overnight Conversion of AT&T

received supplies for partial store conversions. In total, the
conversion is one of the fastest and largest "makeovers" in the
history of U.S. retailing. Each former AT&T Wireless store now
has a supply of Cingular phones, accessories, branding elements and
signage. More importantly, thousands of customer-facing employees
have completed training to ensure that they can provide all
visitors to Cingular stores with accurate and up-to-the-minute

buying products or rate plans, want to make a payment or just have

closed, more than 14,000 people worked on the physical transition
of the stores. That included replacing millions of in-store

point-of- purchase materials were created for the "new" Cingular,
for use in all Cingular locations. When the "Cingular Experience"
became a reality, dedicated teams of in- store, network, customer
service and other employees hit the ground running after having
received more than 2.2 million hours of training. In addition, the
team completed more than 30,000 end-to-end tests to ensure new
account activations and upgrades would be handled seamlessly for
customers. Cingular's ALLOVER(SM) network covers 268 million people
