Citizens Communications Company announces initiatives against child pornography

Citizens Communications Company (NYSE: CZN) announced today that it
continues to take steps to eradicate child pornography on the
Internet. Since 2004, Frontier has not offered or provided Internet
access to newsgroups that contain photographs or images involving
child pornography. Within the next few days, Frontier intends to
sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Center for
Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, within 30 days, to
begin blocking access to child pornography websites identified by
NCMEC that are hosted on Frontier�s servers. �Citizens is committed
to taking appropriate steps to eradicate child pornography from our
servers as evidenced by the steps we have taken and announced
today. Citizens Communications is pleased to be part of a national
effort to keep children safe from this illegal activity. We note in
particular the efforts of the New York State Attorney General,
Andrew Cuomo, in this regard and thank him for his concern for the
