DaimlerChrysler recently demonstrated a new innovation in
vehicle-to-vehicle communications that will make roads safer than
ever before. Already existing Wi-Fi technology allows two vehicles
or other roadside devices to directly communicate with each other
over a distance of about 300 yards. The Dedicated Short Range
Communications system, or DSRC, makes it possible for early warning
systems to let drivers know when danger is down the road. A video
