EDO (NYSE: EDO) Corporation�s recently acquired Impact Science & Technology business unit has been awarded a contract to provide the Department of Defense with 1,100 �CREW 2.1� systems. CREW is an acronym for an electronic system that counters radio-controlled improvised explosive devices. Impact Science & Technology is located in Nashua, N.H. and is part of EDO�s Intelligence and Information Warfare sector. This is a $57 million contract awarded by the Naval Sea Systems Command and the Program Executive Office for Littoral and Mine Warfare. It will help meet urgent Department of Defense requirements in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. This award is in addition to the $88 million EDO contract announced by the DoD on April 6. That contract was won by EDO�s Electronic Warfare sector. Both contracts were competitively awarded. The two products were developed independently for this competition. EDO Corporation designs and manufactures a diverse range of products for aerospace, defense, intelligence, and commercial markets.
