ElkCorp (NYSE:ELK) subsidiary Elk Premium Building Products, Inc. (Elk) announced today the opening of its Master Distribution Center located in Edgerton, Wisconsin. Centrally located to efficiently and effectively service the Midwest, the 850,000 square foot warehouse houses all Elk product lines including asphalt shingles, roofing accessories, composite decking and railing systems. The mega-center is Elk's largest covered storage facility in the country. Products are shipped in from Elk plants across the United States and stored at the Master Distribution Center allowing for distribution of a wider variety of products and faster delivery service to the surrounding states. Elk's CrossTimbers(TM) composite decking material, RailWays(TM) railing systems and all asphalt shingle lines can now be ordered and shipped quickly from one facility and out on the same truck to the areas serviced by the Master Distribution Center.
