Enel to Increase Stake in Chilean Subsidiary

Enel SpA (ENEL.MI) said Thursday that it aims to increase its
stake in its subsidiary Enel Chile SA (ENELCHILE.SN).
The Rome-based energy company said it has entered into two
share-swap transactions with a financial institution--which it
didn't name--to increase its shareholding in the Chilean company by
up to 3%. Enel currently holds a 61.9% stake in the company.
