Edinburgh Oil & Gas plc ("the Company") announces the following results from its
recent drilling activities on UK North Sea Licence P928S, Block 20/1S.


The Buzzard Group, comprising EnCana (U.K.) Limited (Operator), BG Group,
Intrepid Energy North Sea Limited and the Company with a 5.88 per cent working
interest, has recently completed drilling north of the Buzzard field.  Well 20/
1-5 encountered oil-bearing Upper Jurassic sandstones in the Buzzard North
Terrace.  Well 20/1-5z was a northerly sidetrack into the Lily prospect which
encountered Upper Jurassic sandstones with minor oil shows.  Both wells have
been plugged and abandoned.
