0938 GMT - SAP is among the most mentioned companies across news items over the past 12 hours, according to Factiva data, after the German software company agreed to acquire LeanIX, a fellow German software company which specializes in software management. The purchase, about which neither SAP nor LeanIX disclosed financials, will help SAP expand its business transformation portfolio, the two companies said in a joint statement. The move helps set the stage for what SAP called "a comprehensive foundation for AI-enabled process optimization," according to the statement. LeanIX, a privately-held company, has been a strategic partner of SAP's for a decade, the two companies said. They added that the transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of the year.
