Daylight Energy Ltd. ("Daylight") (TSX:DAY) today announced the appointment of
Stacy Knull as Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. Effective April 11,
2011, Mr. Knull assumes leadership of Daylight's oil and gas operations,
including engineering, exploitation and production activities.


Mr. Knull has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry focused
primarily on unconventional resource play growth from a grassroots conceptual
stage through to full scale asset development. This includes all facets of oil &
gas operations with specialized experience in field optimization, technology
implementation and full cycle development of a variety of oil and natural gas
resource plays. Most recently and since 2004 Mr. Knull was Vice President,
Clearwater Business Unit & Canadian Conventional Exploration and Joint Ventures
for Encana Corporation with overall responsibility for the activities of this
business unit. From 2002 through 2004, Mr. Knull served as Vice President, Fort
Nelson Business Unit and previously held multiple roles of increasing
responsibility within Encana Corporation. Mr. Knull holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming, College of
Engineering and is a Professional Engineer with membership in the Association of
Professional Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta.
