Rupert Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:RUP) is pleased to announce that its second
mother hole is currently encountering hydrothermally altered and structurally
deformed mafic volcanic rocks that are interpreted to be Balmer Assemblage on
its 100% owned Gold Centre property located adjacent to the Goldcorp-Red Lake
and Campbell Mine complexes.


The last 194.5 metres of Rupert's second mother hole encountered mafic volcanic
rocks from 3,148.5 metres to the current depth of 3,343.0 metres. These are
intruded by gabbroic rocks. Very significantly, the hole is still drilling a
sequence of mafic volcanic rocks interpreted to be Balmer basalts within the
same structural deformation zone as at the adjacent Goldcorp-Red Lake and
Campbell Mine complexes.


More than 90% of all the gold produced in the Red Lake District has come from
deposits in deformation zones within Balmer Assemblage volcanics.

is still turning and is still in the Balmer Volcanic Assemblage. At this point,
while we have not yet received any assays back, we are pleased with the drilling
team's success in reaching this target."


Mr. Richard Kowalski, P.Geo briefly describes sections of the mafic volcanic as
follows:


3148.5 - 3343.0 Basalt; Dark green to black; strongly carbonatized with 2-15%
quartz carbonate in sheeted veins 0.5mm to 25mm, often displaying drag folding;
numerous quartz - carbonate - chlorite - magnetite rich zones 10cm - 15cm. Trace
to minor sulphides over all. Scattered sections contain 2 to 10 mm garnets.


3155.3 - 3156.1 Strong to intensely fractured, with hydrothermally altered
sericitic halos.


3167.3 - 3173.8 Crystal Tuff, local strong to intense hydrothermal alteration
with sericite.


Samples from the mafic volcanic unit are being cut and submitted for assay.

Rupert owns 100% interest in a key property in the Red Lake District located on
the major structure that controls the main gold production at the Goldcorp-Red
Lake and Campbell complexes.
