New Commerce Split declares its initial monthly distribution for Class I
Preferred shareholders. The initial distribution includes the full March 2010
and April 2010 monthly dividend of $0.03125 per share ($0.375 annually) for a
total of $0.06250 per share. Distributions are payable May 10, 2010 to
shareholders on record as of April 30, 2010. The Class I Preferred share
dividends are paid at an annual rate of 7.50% ($0.03125 per share per month)
based on the $5 notional issue price.


New Commerce Split invests in common shares of Canadian Imperial Bank of
Commerce, a Canadian financial institution.
