AeroMechanical Services Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:AMA) ("AMA" or the "Company"), won an
Alberta Export Award in the Advancing Technologies category at a ceremony hosted
by the Alberta division of the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters ("CME") in
Edmonton on Friday.

The Alberta Export Awards pay tribute to the innovative approaches and
contributions of Alberta export companies. The Advancing Technologies category
recognizes "companies and organizations that harness the powers of intellectual
property and value-added know how".

This award celebrates the people in AMA's sales, software, engineering, customer
support, manufacturing and quality organizations that allow the Company to be a
world-class provider of Alberta grown technologies. The support from
organizations such as the CME, Export Development Canada, Industry Canada,
through its Industrial Research Assistance Program ("IRAP") and other government
agencies help companies like AMA compete in the global economy and dedicated
staff, investors and customers allow us to succeed around the world.

"The Company is honored to be recognized with an Alberta Export Award,"
commented Bill Tempany, CEO. "We have had to work hard to overcome many of the
challenges involved with exporting, though we have had success with our model
because of the resources, level of expertise and outstanding technology
available in the Province of Alberta."

"This award is for the staff of AMA who have weathered 9/11, the economic
turmoil of the last 10 years, the rigors of the global aviation world and built
best of breed, made in Canada products, sold and supported them internationally
and continue to push the envelope on technologies as they evolve."

AMA's key product, the Automated Flight Information Reporting System
("AFIRS(TM)") is operated by over 35 customers globally. One reason why AMA was
selected for the award is that a majority of the Company's revenue, over 80% is
achieved through export sales, yet AFIRS is built in the province using local
technology, experts and staff.

Selection criteria was based on the demonstration of a year-to-year percentage
growth in the value of export sales, ability to overcome challenges or obstacles
in a new international market, use of innovation and strategies to promote brand
awareness in the market and growth in business as a result of entering an
international marketplace.

As an award recipient, the Company is also featured in December's edition of the
Alberta Venture Magazine.
