Exceed Announces Preliminary Discussions

Exceed Energy Inc. (TSX VENTURE:EX.A) ("Exceed" or the "Corporation") notes the
recent movement in its share price. The Corporation announces that it has
entered into preliminary discussions with a third party expressing an interest
in a potential business combination with the Corporation. While such preliminary
discussions are ongoing, no agreement has been reached and there can be no
assurances that any transaction will occur.


Exceed Energy Inc. is a Calgary based emerging oil and gas company engaged in
the exploration development, and exploration of oil and gas reserves in western
Canada. Exceed's Class A common shares trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under
