Hornby Bay Announces Mobilization of Drill

Hornby Bay Mineral Exploration Ltd. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:HBE) is pleased
to announce that it will commence its uranium exploration program in the Hornby
Bay Basin, Nunavut, in early July 2010, with the opening of the Mouse Lake camp
and the mobilization of a depth capable diamond drill and drill crew.


The 2010 program will be focused on the drilling of several unconformity type
targets on the Coppermine River Property. In addition to testing these
geophysical anomalies, the drilling program will provide petrophysical and
depth-to-basement data that will help in the planning of a seismic survey of the
basin to be completed later in the 2010 exploration season. Ground time- domain
electromagnetic surveys will also be conducted on the Coppermine River Property
for follow-up of the MEGATEM conductors.


The Company has received an advance of $600,000 from a significant shareholder
as a guarantee of payment to the drill contractor to expedite the commencement
of the exploration program.
