Lero Intersects 17.50m @ 4.56% Cu and 9.70m @ 3.22% Cu at the Karchiga VMS Project, North East Kazakhstan

Lero Gold Corp. ("Lero", or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:LER) has now received
all results from the recently completed infill drilling programme at the
Karchiga VMS target, NE Kazakhstan.

The drilling programme, consisting of 21 diamond drill holes (1,879 m) and 3
trenches was carried out to confirm the thickness and grade of the historic
Soviet drilling completed between 1941 and 1984. The mineralisation is located
within a series of shallow-dipping lenses of massive and disseminated sulphide
bodies, primarily consisting of chalcopyrite-pyrrhotite and pyrite. The
mineralisation has a strike of in excess of 1km and is intersected at depths
reaching 200m down dip from surface. The majority of the high grade sulphide
mineralisation is concentrated within 100 vertical meters from where it outcrops
at surface.


Eight hundred and fifty eight samples of which 35 standards and 42 duplicates
were analysed in Alex Stewart Laboratories in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.


CEO of Lero, Dr Alexander Yakubchuk commented:

programme. Modelling of the data received is currently underway and we expect to
have a 43-101 compliant resource completed within the next two weeks. The
results have confirmed the dimensions of the known mineralisation and historic
Soviet assays."
