MGold Resources Inc. ("MGold" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:MNI) is pleased to announce the appointment of two experienced professional geologists to the board of directors, Gary DeSchutter and Gernot Wober.

Mr. DeSchutter, who was appointed to MGold's board at the end of June 2011, is a Vancouver-based Professional Geologist with twenty years' experience in mineral exploration and has specialized in project generation, project management and project risk assessment over the last several years. To date, he has managed small and large-scale projects exploring for base and precious metal deposits throughout Canada and Alaska, as well as in Utah, Minnesota, Zimbabwe and South Africa with Anglo American plc and Falconbridge Limited (now Xstrata) and more recently as an independent consulting geologist. As a project manager, Mr. DeSchutter's leadership and emphasis on safe project execution have led to a number of discoveries including gold in the Timmins camp and Ni-Cu-PGE resources in northern Quebec.

Prior to graduating in 1996 with a Master of Science degree in Geology from Laurentian University in Sudbury Ontario, Mr. DeSchutter worked with the Geological Survey of Canada and Government of the Northwest Territories as a member of regional geological mapping teams. Mr. DeSchutter graduated with a Bachelor of Science in geology in 1993 from Concordia University in Montreal and is registered as a Professional Geologist in British Columbia (P.Geo.).

Mr. Wober is currently employed by the Pebble Limited Partnership and is the Director of Site Operations for the Pebble Project in Iliamna, Alaska. The Pebble prospect hosts one of the world's largest copper, gold and molybdenum deposits.

Mr. Wober has 28 years exploration and development experience including working on projects in British Columbia, Yukon Territories, Northwest Territories, and Manitoba, Canada, as well as in Alaska and Nevada, USA, Mexico, Uruguay, Brazil, Eritrea, Mali, Burkino Faso, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Sudan, Mozambique and South Africa. Gernot has excellent technical, logistical and management skills and has worked extensively on advanced projects through feasibility stages.

Some of the other company's where Gernot was employed include Hunter Dickinson, Great Basin Gold, Queenstake Resources, Lac Minerals, Noranda Exploration, Cominco, and Chevron Canada Resources Ltd. Gernot graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1991 with a B.Sc. in Geology and is a member of the Professional Association of Geoscientists of British Columbia.

Furthermore, the Corporation announces that it has received notice of resignation from Ian Forrest as director of the Corporation. Mr. Forrest is pursuing other opportunities and MGold's board of directors wishes to thank him for his long term dedicated services over the course of his engagement to the Corporation since 1979.
