Western Pacific Trust Company: Appointment of New Director

WESTERN PACIFIC TRUST COMPANY (TSX VENTURE:WP) ("the Company") is pleased to
announce the appointment of Mr. Robert W. Macdonald to the Board of Directors
effective May 27, 2010. He replaces Mr. Rodney Sorbo, who did not stand for
reelection to the Board in order to more freely commit to his retirement travel
plans. The Board thanks Mr. Sorbo for his efforts on behalf of the Company over
the last three years.


Robert (Bob) Macdonald's B.Sc. Petroleum Engineering in 1954 led to a lifetime
in the oil and gas business, primarily in Alberta. After 10 years of working in
oil and gas exploration, Bob developed, and for 20 years ran, Macdonald
Engineering, a successful company, both technically and economically. He then
formed Keles Production Company which he ran profitably for 15 years before
selling it to a public company. For the past six years Mr. Macdonald has been
involved, through his privately owned Keles Investments Company, with real
estate and mortgage investments in Canada. Bob's career as a successful
entrepreneur and investor in a volatile industry has forged a conservative
personality with a fiscally prudent approach, and an aptitude for creating and
completing projects in an efficient and profitable manner.


With the appointment of Mr. Chapman, the Board of Directors of the Company is
