Colonel Jeffrey A. Powers, CEO of Homeland Security Technology,
Inc. (a Division of Amnis, Inc (Pink Sheets:AMNI)), announced today
that HST, Inc., is unveiling a low cost international cellular
calling service to civilian contractors, Department of Defense
(DOD) and military personnel deployed world wide. The service,
which is private labeled USPowerCall(TM), allows customers to make
calls using locally procured cell phones with international calling
capability. Following a simple online procedure to register the
local cell phone number with USPowerCall(TM), calls are then made
over the USPowerCall(TM) network using a unique dialing method.
Customers post pay their usage against a major international credit
card and all calls are itemized in an e-mailed monthly statement.
To ensure maximum reliability and uninterrupted service,
USPowerCall(TM) is supported by 24/7 customer service. HST will
also introduce a domestic calling card which will allow $0.05 per
minute long distance calling rates from any land line or cellular
phone. "Deployed personnel have all said that their morale is
greatly improved when they are able to talk directly to their
families back in the United States," commented Colonel Powers. "Up
until now, available international cellular service has been
expensive and in most cases requires pre-payment which can be
inconvenient. We are offering the convenience and flexibility of
being able to make inexpensive calls back to the United States."
HST Inc. has partnered with a leading US-based communications
provider to be able to offer rates in some cases up to 50 % lower
than current established rates for international calls from cell
phones. Marketing of this service has already commenced with 1/4
page ads scheduled for military newspapers on both coasts. Plans
are to continue the marketing effort at military installations
across the US such as: Camp Pendleton, Ca., Camp Lejeune, N.C.,
Fort Knox, Ky., Naval Base, Norfolk, Va., Fort Eustis, Va., Langley
Air Force Base, Va., Fort Lee, Va., Naval Air Station, Oceana, Va.,
Fort Monroe, Va. Estimates show our deployed troop strength is well
over 388,000. This figure is out of a total of 1,434,377 personnel.
HST will target deploying or recently deployed civilian contractor,
DOD and military members and offer this greatly reduced calling
package to help keep our troops in touch with their families and
friends back home. Potential customers will be able to find out
more about this service and sign up directly by visiting the
USPowerCall(TM) website at: http://www.uspowercall.com. HST plans
to have this service on line and the website activated this week.
