TUCSON, Ariz., July 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Bourque Industries, Inc. (OTC:BORK) is pleased to release the following testing results and validation of its product Kryron Terminator Armor on behalf of Ultra Armoring LLC.

ULTRA ARMORING LLC

Ultra Armoring, LLC of Shelby, NC is a current contract award winner for the USSOCOM NSCV (Non Standard Commercial Vehicle) initiative.  Ultra Armoring specializes in the design and manufacture of state-of-the-art up armored vehicles for the worlds most advanced warfighters.  Over recent months, Ultra has been working with industry in the design and adaptation of highly advanced armor materials in efforts to increase occupant survivability as well as lower overall vehicle weight.

"Increasing mission profile and crew survivability through advancements in armor design and material selection will always remain our highest priority," says VP of Research and Development Don Whitmire.

Bourque Industries' Kryronized aluminum, or Kryron, is a proprietary alloy and the optimal material for ballistic armor plates. Compared to industry-standard personal protection ceramic plates, Kryron Terminator armor is lighter, far more durable, and completely eliminates shatter, spall, and ricochet.

"We (Ultra Armoring) have been in test validation at our private range to better understand how we can apply Kryon to existing fleets and future vehicle programs.  Being able to cut, form and weld a material like this makes for very interesting discussions as this is a real departure from current armoring trends," says Whitmire.

Kryon has shown dramatic improvements in true multi hit capabilities for larger threat testing over current ceramic and other composite solutions.

"Kryon has demonstrated some very unique capabilities to defeat extreme multi hit impacts from AP (Armor Piercing) projectiles.  Shot spacing has been less than 1inch without catastrophic failure at rated velocity and distance."
