JABRA Presents Virginia Beach Rock 'n' Roll Marathon and Verizon
Wireless American Music Festival CHICAGO, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ --
In a strong show of support for the mobile consumer, JABRA, the
foremost brand in innovative hands-free communication products,
will be the presenting sponsor of the fourth annual Rock 'n' Roll
Half Marathon Post Race Concert and the Verizon Wireless American
Music Festival held at the Virginia Beach waterfront this Labor Day
weekend, Sept. 3-6. With an expected 17,000 runners and 50,000-plus
spectators in attendance, the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon is the
country's largest inaugural marathon. The race begins Sunday
morning, Sept. 5, and will finish with a Post Race Concert,
presented by JABRA, including live music from celebrity headliners
such as the B52s, Collective Soul and Sugar Ray. The concert is
part of the 11th Annual Verizon Wireless American Music Festival
and includes four days of the nation's largest oceanfront music
events featuring national recording acts in concert on multiple
stages. "Whether a person is an elite marathon runner, a touring
music artist, or cheering spectator, we strive to support their
communication needs with exceptional products," said Heidi Adams,
director of marketing, JABRA North America. "The exceptional
quality and comfortable wear of JABRA headsets are a natural fit
for people with active lifestyles who expect the highest
performance in a demanding environment." The Rock 'n' Roll Half
Marathon is patterned after the popular Suzuki Rock 'n' Roll
Marathon in San Diego, which JABRA was also part of. In the past
three years, the half marathon has attracted some of the fastest
runners in the world. This year's athletes will vie for more than
$80,000 in cash and prizes. "For years, the Rock 'n' Roll Half
Marathon has had outstanding success. Our collaboration with JABRA
will only add to the positive response we receive from our
participants and spectators," said Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon's
Race Director, Tim Murphy. "We saw the enormous popularity of the
JABRA headsets among athletes and spectators at the San Diego
marathon, and we look forward to partnering with them again in this
race." About JABRA JABRA is the foremost brand in innovative
