for Option and Joint Venture on Hoidas Lake Project

SASKATOON, SK, June 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - Great Western
Minerals Group Ltd.
("GWMG" or the "Company") (TSX.V: GWG / OTCQX: GWMGF), a leader in
the
manufacture and supply of rare earth-based alloys and high
purity
metals with a low cost, high-grade critical rare earth asset
(the
"Steenkampskraal Project" or "SKK"), announced today a letter of
intent
("LOI") with Star Uranium Corp.(TSX.V: SUV) to enter into an option
and
joint venture agreement in respect of the Hoidas Lake Project, an
area
comprised of fourteen mineral claims totaling approximately
12,522
hectares and related property in northern Saskatchewan.
"We have been actively evaluating the long term plans for our
non-core
assets and this agreement is consistent with our objective to focus
our
resources on the advancement of our Steenkampskraal Project,"
stated
GWMG President and CEO Marc
LeVier. "We believe Star Uranium is better
positioned to complete the exploration of the property at this
time."
The LOI is intended to serve as a basis for the negotiation and
execution of the definitive agreement. The completion of the
option
and Hoidas Lake joint venture is subject to the approval of the
TSX
Venture Exchange and all other required regulatory, corporate
and
security holder approvals.
