Medical Services International Inc. to Apply for CE Approval in Europe

EDMONTON, Alberta, March 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical
Services International Inc. (OTC:MSITF) is pleased to announce that
it will immediately begin the procedure to obtain certification (CE
status) of its VScan HIV test kit in Europe. Medical Services has
agreed to a proposal from a European pharmaceutical company whereby
the pharmaceutical company will pay the complete cost necessary for
the Certification (CE) of the VScan HIV test kit in Europe. As part
of the certification the company will look after submission of all
data required by regulatory authorities, attend all necessary
meetings with regulatory authorities and complete any and all other
procedures required to obtain certification. Completion of the
certification will give further validation of the VScan HIV test
kit. Once certification has been obtained, the VScan HIV rapid test
kit can be sold in 25 European countries. Market studies show that
there is a need for in excess of 6 to 8 million HIV rapid test kits
in Europe per year. Completion of the CE for the VScan HIV test kit
should result in sales of 2 to 3 million kits per year. About VScan
