Medical Services International to Begin Shipping VScan HIV Test Kits Into Europe

PR Newswire (US)
EDMONTON, Alberta, July 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical
Services International Inc. (OTC:MSITF) wishes to announce that it
will begin shipping its VScan HIV test kits into several European
countries who are now doing their own testing rather than wait for
Medical Services to get CE approval. Preliminary testing by
departments of health in several European countries has resulted in
test data from the VScan HIV test kit that exceeded expectations.
Consequently, rather than wait for the Company to obtain a CE mark
for its HIV test kit, these countries have decided to complete the
necessary testing for regulatory approval themselves through their
departments of health. Upon successful completion of the testing of
the VScan HIV test kits by the departments of health, Medical
Services will receive clearance to begin selling its VScan HIV test
kit in that country. It has become apparent that there is a
significant demand for a reliable, accurate HIV rapid test kit that
uses whole blood and does not require medical facilities. The fact
that the VScan detects the IgM antigen within 2 to 11 days of
infection when other kits do not, makes it the most sensitive and
accurate test kit available. Market studies show that the demand
for an HIV test kit like the VScan HIV test kit will be in excess
of 2 to 3 million kits per year. About VScan The VScan rapid test
kit is a single use, disposable, accurate, cost effective, easy to
use, test for the screening of HIV 1&2, Hepatitis B&C,
Tuberculosis (TB), Dengue Fever, West Nile, Syphilis, Malaria and
Prostate Cancer. The kits cannot be sold in Canada. Medical
Services International Inc. trades in the United States on the NQB
Pinksheets under the symbol "MSITF". For further information,
