MTN Group Ltd. said Thursday that it has agreed to exit its operations in Yemen by selling its effective shareholding to Emerald International Investment LLC., an affiliate of Zubair Corp. LLC, the minority shareholder in MTN Yemen.

South African telecoms company MTN said its Yemen division had 4.7 million subscribers at the end of the third quarter, and that it represented 0.3% of its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.
