Germany's Volkswagen AG (VOW.XE) is planning a management reshuffle at Porsche AG, in which Volkswagen's chief production strategist Matthias Mueller will become head of Porsche AG, a person familiar with the matter told Dow Jones Newswires Tuesday.

The move is set to tighten Volkswagen's grip on the German sports car maker that it half-owns.

Mueller is set to be introduced to Porsche AG personnel during a staff meeting starting 1130 GMT, the person said.

Porsche AG is the sports car operation of Porsche Automobil Holding SE (PAH3.XE).
