Quick-Med Technologies, Inc. (OTCQB:QMDT), a life sciences company that is developing innovative technologies for the healthcare and consumer markets, announced today that Dr. Bernd Liesenfeld, principal scientist at Quick-Med, will deliver a podium presentation on Quick-Med's novel Stay Fresh Antimicrobial Technology at the 2012 International Conference, organized by the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC).

Dr. Liesenfeld's paper, "Antimicrobial and Antifungal Fabric Finishing Based on Peroxide Chemistry," will highlight the significant advances that researchers at Quick-Med are making in achieving extraordinary durability and antimicrobial efficacy in applying the Company's proprietary Stay Fresh Antimicrobial to a range of natural and synthetic fabrics.

Stay Fresh represents a breakthrough antimicrobial technology. What makes Stay Fresh different from other antimicrobials is its chemistry and extraordinary durability. The active ingredient is hydrogen peroxide – the ingredient that provides the gentle disinfecting and bleaching action in today's generation of color-safe, alternative bleaches. This advance is made possible by Quick-Med's development of the first commercially viable technology for bonding the active ingredient onto the textile.

This year's AATCC International Conference takes place on March 21-23 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Liesenfeld's presentation takes place on Friday, March 23 at 9:30 a.m. To schedule a meeting with Dr. Liesenfeld, please contact us at (888) 835-2211 ext. 2 or email Dr. Liesenfeld directly at: bliesenfeld@quickmedtech.com.

About Stay Fresh

Stay Fresh is Quick-Med's newest technology platform, offering textile companies a breakthrough in antimicrobial protection to enhance and differentiate their products. Today's leading freshness-enhancing textile technologies are limited in their ability to destroy certain bacteria and unable to maintain efficacy throughout the life of laundered textiles. Stay Fresh is designed to overcome these limitations by providing cost-effective, durable, and sustained antimicrobial protection.

Stay Fresh is the only antimicrobial technology containing hydrogen peroxide approved by EPA for antimicrobial preservation of textiles. The safe, eco-friendly active ingredient in Stay Fresh is bonded to fibers or fabrics to retain its efficacy for as many as 100 laundering cycles, in hot or cold water. Stay Fresh provides durable, long-lasting antimicrobial efficacy.
