USA Metal Recycling announces order with Alternative Hydrogen Solutions for the Hy-Impact™ Hy-Road intelligent hydrogen systems

FARMINGTON, Ark. and LOWELL, Ark., Dec. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Alternative Hydrogen Solutions, the exclusive seller of Highline Technical Innovations' (HLNT:OTC) Hy-Impact line of intelligent hydrogen systems, announced today that USA Metal Recycling has placed an order to outfit its long haul over the road sleeper tractors used to haul scrap metal with the fuel saving and emissions reducing systems.

In March of 2012, USA Metal Recycling partnered with AHS for field-testing of the Hy-Road™ system, the Hy-Impact model designed for trucking applications. The recycling company was among the first to work with AHS in the testing, and was instrumental in supplying information that helped fine-tune the product. This collaboration resulted in an improved design, which began a new round of field-testing in July. These tests resulted in USA Metal Recycling experiencing 12 percent fuel savings, along with a 51 percent reduction in Diesel Exhaust Fluid usage, proving Hy-Road a consistent and viable solution.

On the success of this groundbreaking product, John Rogers, shop foreman at USA Metal Recycling, stated, "I would not have believed the data if I had not performed the tests myself. Additionally, our drivers have reported an overall drastic improvement in engine performance. Trucks idle smoother, pull hills better..." USA Metal Recycling drivers operate 2011 CHU 613 Mack Trucks.

CEO of AHS, Chad Coats, remarked, "USA Metal Recycling, in addition to the other private fleets working with AHS, have been instrumental in helping us with design updates in order to achieve the ROI associated with the benefits of our Hy-Road Series 550." Coats continued, "We are very confident in the value proposition we can offer to transportation companies and even more excited about the attention our successful testing is getting in the transportation sector of Northwest Arkansas."

The Hy-Impact product line uses hydrogen as a catalyst to more effectively burn fuel. Hydrogen is separated from water via the process of electrolysis allowing a precise amount of hydrogen gas to be introduced into the engine's combustion chamber, creating a significantly more efficient fuel burn. Hy-Impact's patent pending CPU technology ensures the correct amount of hydrogen is released, while no moisture enters the engine, resulting in a 6-18 percent increase in fuel economy and dramatically lowered emissions.
