SSDIY Samsung SDI Company Ltd (PK)

Akasol AG (ASL.XE) said Monday that it selected Samsung SDI Co. Ltd. (006400.SE) to supply it with lithium battery cells for two large orders made by unnamed global vehicle manufacturers.

Under the terms of the agreement, Samsung SDI will supply Akasol with lithium-ion battery cells for a capacity of 13 gigawatt hours. The supply deal runs from 2020 to 2027.

The German company said that this builds on an already-existing agreement with Samsung SDI.
