Platforms Wireless International Corporation (Pink Sheets:PLFM) (www.plfm.net), the developer of the innovative Airborne Relay Communications ARC System Core Technology for wireless voice and data communications, announced today it has leased a facility to be used for manufacturing and assembly operations in Ontario, California, near the Ontario International Airport. The new facility will house development, testing, manufacturing, and assembly operations for the Companys rapid response emergency communications systems, as well as house R&D and engineering activities for on-going product development and testing operations. Raymond Magana, President and CEO of Platforms Wireless, stated: Our new facility will provide ample space to develop, test, and manufacture our rapid response emergency communications system products, as well as a secured location to store and demonstrate our System products to prospective customers and other interested parties. Larry McLean, Vice President, Operations, observed: Our new manufacturing facility will provide us with sufficient floor space to manufacture and assemble our ROSETTA-911 Systems, as well as conduct engineering and testing functions on other ongoing system development operations. Given the RECOM-911 Systems need for above-average ceiling height, with a payload that weighs 1800 lbs. and measures 14 X 6 X 3, this new facility, with 22 ceilings, will provide the room required to store our RECOM-911 System payload in a fully assembled state, suspended on a gantry crane (please refer to payload photograph). This will allow full access to the RECOM-911 payload for demonstrations, implementing modifications and enhancements, and testing operational capabilities, as required. Platforms Wireless presently offers two innovative Emergency-911, interoperable radio and cellular communications systems based on its proprietary Airborne Relay Communications ARC System Core Technology. The RECOM-911 Rapid Response Emergency Communications System -- Platforms flagship System product: an airborne, transportable wireless communications system designed to provide Cellular and Interoperable Radio communications to emergency first responders during and immediately following a catastrophic emergency, or a natural or man-made disaster. RECOM-911 is transportable, ISO containerized, and rapidly deployable by air, land, or sea to the incident location, where it can be activated into service within hours of its arrival at the scene. RECOM-911 can provide 24/7 uninterrupted Cellular communications services to a radius area of up to 70 miles with a service capacity of more than 25,000 users. In conjunction with the ROSETTA-911 System, the RECOM-911 System can also provide Interoperable Radio/Cellular Communications, Internet/VOIP Connectivity, Video Surveillance, and Sensor (radar) facilities, as required. The ROSETTA-911 Interoperable Radio/Cellular Communications System is a ready-to-use, turnkey System that provides interoperable radio/cellular communications facilities, which enable different VHF, UHF, 800 MHz radios, and cellular telephones, to seamlessly interconnect and communicate with each other, including Internet/VOIP connectivity. The ROSETTA-911 System is available as an integral component of the RECOM-911System, where it provides the Radio/Cellular interoperable communications facilities, and as a standalone, portable system unit. The ROSETTA-911 portable system comes fully equipped and ready to use, including VHF, UHF, and 800 MHz mobile (LMR) radios, matching portable radios, a cellular and land-line (STU-III compatible) telephone port, and Internet/VOIP connectivity, for comprehensive command and control facilities that enable incident commanders to efficiently control, direct, and manage emergency first response critical operations. ABOUT PLATFORMS WIRELESS INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION (PINK SHEETS:PLFM) Platforms Wireless International Corporation, headquartered in Westlake Village, California, is the developer of the innovative airborne wireless communications technology known as the Airborne Relay Communications ARC System Core Technology. The ARC System Core Technology is designed to provide multiple wide area wireless telecommunications services from a lighter-than-air platform suspended 1,000 to 5,000 meters above mean sea level by atetheredaerostat. The RECOM-911, Rapid Response Emergency Communications System, is the Companys flagship product, and a derivative system product of the ARC System Core Technology. The RECOM-911 System is an airborne, rapid response emergency communications system that can be readily transported to critical emergency and natural or man-made disaster locations. The System can provide a cellular communications airborne service coverage diameter of220-kilometers, or a 60 to 70-mile radius, with a service capacity of 35,000 to 50,000 users. The RECOM-911 System interfaces with the ROSETTA-911 System to provide VHF, UHF, 800 MHz radio and cellular interoperability facilities with Internet/VOIP communications connectivity. The ROSETTA-911 System can also operate as a separate, transportable, independent interoperable communications field station. Management believes its advances in the field of airborne wireless communications technology, reinforced by new product developments, will provide efficient, cost-effective, voice and data communicationssolutions for rapid response to critical emergencies and natural or man-made disasters, and for augmenting, replacing, and/or supplementing terrestrial land-line and wireless telecommunications infrastructures.
