                              Revised date of AGM

Notice of the revised date for an AGM was sent to shareholders yesterday
together with a short letter explaining that due to circumstances outside the
Company's control not all of Arko's shareholders had received due notice of the
AGM to have been held on 23 July 2003.  The Annual General Meeting of the
Company will now be held at 11.00 am on 11 August 2003 at 12 St James's Square,
London SW1Y 4RB.

Copies of the letter sent to shareholders will be available for inspection from
the offices of Nabarro Wells & Co. Ltd., Saddlers House, Gutter Lane, London
EC2V 6HS.
