Electricite de France SA (EDF.FR) said Tuesday that its first-quarter sales rose, and backed its outlook.

The French energy company said it had first-quarter sales of 20.97 billion euros ($23.56 billion), up 2.5% from EUR20.45 billion for the same period the year previous.

EDF said its sales grew organically by 1.7%.

The company backed its 2019 outlook and said it expects earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization of between EUR16 billion and EUR16.7 billion for the year.

It also backed its targets for 2019-2020, including disposals totaling EUR2 billion-EUR3 billion.
