Berlin-based investing and fundraising platform Neufund has closed the world’s first IPO using blockchain technology. A total of 1,017 investors from 34 countries contributed to the capital raise, with e-mobility manufacturer Greyp raking in €1.4m. Greyp is backed by both Porsche and T-Mobile and is the sister company of supercar firm Rimac Automobili. Neufund’s offering allowed the retail market to invest with a minimum contribution of €100. It was the first ever fully-compliant Initial Public Offering (IPO) based on the blockchain. “It’s an exciting day for Neufund and a huge step forward for the security tokens industry at large.
