Solvay SA (SOLB.BT) and Safran SA (SAF.FR) signed a supply agreement on Thursday for the LEAP aircraft engine.

The advanced materials and specialty chemicals company said it will supply Safran with a package of composite material technologies to manufacture structural components for the engine, including fan blades and fan case.

The LEAP engine is used on Airbus, Boeing and Comac single-aisle aircraft, said Solvay.
