To date, this is the largest order received for FC2, FHC's second generation female condom. The National AIDS Council Secretariat will coordinate the distribution of FC2, starting in October 2008, by the Department of Health and the non-government organization community. In Papua New Guinea there is widespread demand for the female condom, which was first introduced there in the 1990's.
