Metallica Resources Inc. (the "Company") hereby amends the Company’s Form 6-K for the period from March 29, 2007 to April 2, 2007 furnished to the Commission on April 3, 2007 (the "Original Form 6-K") solely for the purpose of incorporating by reference Exhibits A, B and C thereto in the Registration Statement on Form S-8 (Registration No. 333-148255) filed by Metallica Resources Inc., under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933, as amended, to the extent not superseded by documents or reports subsequently filed or furnished.
