On 10 September 2003 Spring Group plc issued options to directors as follows:



Richard Barfield  - Options granted at 93.5 pence to acquire 350,000 ordinary
shares under the 2001 Executive Share Option Scheme.



William Grubbs  - Options granted at 93.5 pence to acquire 200,000 ordinary
shares under the 2001 Executive Share Option Scheme.



These options are first exercisable in September 2006 and are subject to
performance criteria
