Unilever said Tuesday that Chief Financial Officer Graeme
Pitkethly intends to retire from the company by the end of May
2024.
The Anglo-Dutch multisector retailer--which owns consumer brands
such as Ben & Jerry's ice cream, Dove soap and Cif and Domestos
cleaning products--said it will now start a formal internal and
external search for his successor.
Pitkethly has been part of Unilever for 21 years, initially
joining as the group chief accountant, and has been an executive
member of the board since April 2016.
"As CFO, [Pitkethly] has brought great leadership to our company
and been instrumental in sharpening our strategy and driving a
step-up in our operational performance," Chief Executive Alan Jope
said.
