                      SALE OF BERGE TOKYO CANCELLED

Bergesen has previously announced sale of the tanker Berge Tokyo to a consortium
of partners of Tankers International led by Frontline Ltd., subject to
charterer's approval.

The charterer has not given such approval and the sale is therefore cancelled.
