The Company announces that further to notices of redemption and repayment
despatched on 22 April 2002 to holders of £85,000,000 9.25 per cent. Several
Debenture Stock 2023 (the "Stock") and to the repayment by Charter European
Trust plc of its £15 million loan to the Company, the relevant proportion of
each stockholder's holding of Stock to be redeemed will be 17.647 per cent..
