    The Asian Technology Trust Plc

Further to the announcement by the Board of Directors of The Asian Technology
Trust plc (the "Company") of 6 December 2002, and in advance of its
Extraordinary General Meeting to be held later today at which a resolution will
be proposed that the Company be placed into voluntary liquidation, dealings on
the London Stock Exchange in the Company's shares of US$0.10 each and its
warrants have been suspended with effect from 7.30 a.m. today.
